BABY BEDDING

Here is the baby bedding we picked out......well, I did. Matt still doesn't want anything pink! We bought it on Matt's birthday. He didn't think it was really fair that the baby got something, but he'll get used to it.
Everything is good with us. I'm still getting IV's. I went 2 weeks without one and everyone thought that I was over this, but it has started up again. I just can't wait for Nov.

IT'S A GIRL!

We are having a girl! We are both so excited. Matt was hoping for a boy, but he will love a little girl. We decided her middle name will be Ivy because of all the IV's I've been on. I think it's funny and cute. There are a lot of people who don't believe that we will name her that, but we are serious. I want her to know of the sacrifice I made to get her on the earth. I'm not big into middle names and naming a kid after anyone, so I thought why not have a meaning behind it.

I've been resting a lot and feeling a little bit better. I haven't had an IV for 6 days now. It's been a nice break. I'm not sure if it will last, but I take it day by day.

People have been asking for pictures of me pregnant. I'm not really into the whole baby bump thing and I'm not too big right now. Maybe when I'm a little bigger I'll take some pictures and post them.

PREGNANCY AND LIFE

Well, it's been a long time since I have posted anything. A lot of people have been asking me how I'm doing, so I thought I would write an update. This weekend I will be 20 weeks along. The doctors told me I have Hyperemesis. It pretty much means extreme morning sickness and throws up a lot. The symptoms are vomiting, dehydration, weight lose, etc. We are going to a high risk doctor as well as our normal doctor. They did an ultrasound last month to make sure the baby was healthy and growing. Everything looked great and the baby is in no danger. We go back again on the 8th for another ultrasound.

The doctor finally put me on home health care so that I can get my IV's at home and not have to run to the hospital everyday. I'm usually hooked up the the fluids for about 10 hours a day. I do not have the best vains, so my IV's go bad quicker than we would like. I have been getting poked a lot, but I'm used to it by now. Matt and my mom don't like when I pull out the IV's myself, they have to look away. They are funny. It's just a little plastic tube and you can't even feel it. They have been a great help though.

Since I have been so sick, I had to quit my job. We decided to move in with my mom so she can help me with the IV's while Matt is at work. Matt packed up the apartment last week with his family and moved everything to storage. He did an awesome job getting everything worked out. Matt has been wanted to move to a different apartment for some time now, so I guess this move will make him happy.

Other than all of that, there's not really anything else exciting going on. I have had to miss out on a lot this summer because I can't go anywhere. I am restricted to the home since I'm on home health care. I'm really hoping that I can go the the Family Reunion in Idaho. I had to miss the Sumsion Reunion because I was so sick that weekend. My sister is in the hospital right now for 6 weeks until she has her twins, so we are going to watch her 2 kids for a couple of months. They will be coming tomorrow. We will have fun with them.

Thanks to everyone's prayers and support. I'm keeping my spirits up. I am always up for visitors. I can't promise I will look good, but you can stop by anytime.
