Matt's Birthday Weekend!

Matt's birthday was on Sunday the 24th. He turned 29! We decided to celebrate the whole weekend since we are usually in Idaho for my family reunion every year on his birthday. We went to the Zoo on Saturday. I love the Zoo and it was Allie's first time going. We had so much fun. It was hot but not really too bad so it wasn't miserable. Matt took the long way home so that Allie could sleep in the car and we ended up at his brother Brian's house in Cedar Hills and spent a few hours there hanging out. On Sunday we went to church and for the first time ever, Allie sat through Sacrament Meeting for the whole time. Matt thought that was a pretty good present! We went to Matt's parents that night for dinner and my mom and siblings also came over there for dessert. That night we did fireworks at Matt's parents house. It was so much fun. I've never laughed so hard doing fireworks in my life. One of the air fireworks shot out at all of us, it was scary but so funny how everyone reacted. On Monday we went to lunch at Tucanos. If you join the Birthday Club there, you get a free meal the month of your birthday. It was so yummy and we were full all day. To put an end to a fun weekend we went to a movie. We saw Captain America. It is a must see! We had such a wonderful weekend. I'm so glad Matt was born and is in our lives. He is a great father and husband. Happy Birthday Matt!!

Ready for the Zoo with her pigtails! She was upset about the drive there and ended up pulling the pigtails out in the car. Little stinker!

Allie loved the monkeys.

She would not put down her water bottle! She loved running around everywhere.

Highest Score.....Yeah Baby!

Last Friday my cousins came into town and Felicia and I went bowling with Mike and Rachel at BYU. The girl working there told us that if you bowl a 200 or more you get a free shirt. We were determined to do this! Rachel told us she wasn't very good at bowling.....yeah right! She ended up bowling a 202!! It shocked her and the girl working at the bowling ally. We were all so excited and pumped that we played another game. I ended up getting 4 strikes in a row and got a Turkey Club shirt. I even got my highest score ever in bowling....173! It was such a fun night. Matt was so nice and told me to go and he would stay home with Allie. They had both been sick and were giving me a break. What a great time!

Sumsion Reunion

Last weekend we had the Sumsion Reunion. It was with Matt's whole family. We went to Timberlakes up by Heber and stayed in 2 cabins. It was such a blast. Our cabin was so awesome. We had a projector screen to watch movies, a ping pong table, pool table, air hockey table and fuse ball table. We hung out most of the time and played a lot of games. On Friday we went to the Olympic Park in Park City and went on the Alpine Slide and both Zip Lines. It was so much fun. We got half off tickets beforehand. That was even better! We look forward to the Sumsion vacations every year. We had such a great time this year and hope we can go to the cabins every year now!

Family BBQ

Last night we had a BBQ at my sister in law Jackie's parents house. They are family to us and we love being with them. The 4th of July isn't complete unless there is a BBQ. Allie loved playing in their backyard and jumping on the trampoline. I love their tramp because it has a net around it so Allie doesn't jump off. Everyone started watching a movie outside but we skipped out early because Matt had to be to work early in the morning. We stopped by my mom's to light a few sparklers with Mike, Rachel, Natalie and Monica. I was holding a sparkler with Allie and she decided to try and grab it from me and her hand slid up the sparkler to the part that was lite and burned her hand. Poor little thing. She is always getting hurt. I just hate those stupid parent moments. She cried for an hour then went to bed and woke up feeling great. She is such a brave little girl. We just really hate when she gets hurt. We had a great holiday weekend and love watching Allie take in all the summer fun we have been having.

4th of July Parade

We had a great time this year at the parade. Allie loved every minute of it. It wasn't too hot and we had our sun shade to sit under. I was really happy that I was able to make the parade. Sunday night I got a really bad migraine and didn't think that I would make it. I planned on just sleeping in while Matt and Allie went, but ended up waking up at 6:30am without any alarm going off and my migraine gone. We love the 4th of July and really look forward to the parade every year.

Feeding the Ducks

We took Allie to feed the ducks for the first time on Sunday. When she got out of the car, she started making what sounded like a duck call, she's never even heard a duck before so we don't know how she picked that up but it was really cute. She had fun feeding the ducks, but was feeding herself more then the ducks!

Summer Nights

Last night we went out with our friends Rose and Derek. We went to Los Hermanos in Provo then walked across the street to walk around the booths for the 4th of July weekend. We had so much fun. We love the 4th of July weekend every year and always look forward to it. There's nothing better then spending time with your little family on summer nights. We decided to get a caricature drawing of Allie done. Matt and I got one done of us in Vegas several years ago and thought it would be fun to get some done of our kids throughout the years. We had such a great night.
