Bridal Veil Falls

We went out for a little family outing on Saturday. We stopped at Bridal Veil Falls. Allie just loved staring at the water. The river was moving so dang fast. I'm glad we had Allie in the stroller. I didn't want to chase her around and have her fall into the water. We are really excited to go out this summer and enjoy nature all around Utah. We sure do live in a great place.

Mike and Rachel are Married!

Last weekend my brother Mike married the girl of his dreams, Rachel. It was the most wonderful day. The weather was perfect and they were so happy. They got married in the Salt Lake Temple. We had the luncheon at Christopher's Restaurant in Salt Lake. The food was to die for. The reception was in Provo and was a lot of fun. It was so great to see everyone that I haven't seen in a long time. We are so happy that Mike found Rachel. She is just perfect for him. We love her a lot. My sister and her family came down from Oregon for the weekend. Allie had so much fun playing her her cousins. She is the only one on my side of the family that lives here. It's fun when my sister comes because Allie has cousins to play with her age. The best part about the weekend was that my whole family was in the temple together. It was only the second time this has happened. The other time was when Chad and Jackie got married in August. I just love my family so much and love spending time with them. My mom gave Allie an ice cream bar and this is what happened! Sticky all over!




Allie loves her little high heels. She walks around all day in them and loves to push her doll stroller.


I told Allie that dad was on his way home and when I walked in the room she was sitting at the window waiting for him!

We just can't get enough of this little girl! She is getting so smart every day. Today she was eating fruit snacks on the couch and when she was done I watched her run into the kitchen with the wrapper but she didn't come back with it. I went to look in the garbage and it was in there! She is just so cute. She is learning how to clean and pick up after herself. She is such a great little kid.

Roomies!

I love these girls! We had a roommate get together tonight. Shara, Angie, Signe and I were roommates right before I got married. We had a blast living together. Shara is in town for a few weeks from AZ so we decided to all go out. It's been 5 years since all four of us have been together. That is just way to long and we need to get together more.

Mommy's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to everyone! I had such a great weekend. On Saturday Matt and I and my siblings went to my mom's and did yard work for her for Mother's Day. She has been wanting to get rid of her shed for a long time now and she finally found a guy who wants it. We cleaned it all out so the guy can pick it up this week. I think my mom is happy to finally get rid of it. She has never liked it since my dad built it! On Sunday we went to church and it was Allie's first day in nursery. She did perfect! Matt and I were both getting sick of people telling us that when Allie gets to nursery she wont like it and she'll cry and not want to be there. We know our little girl better then anyone else and both knew that she would love it because she loves other kids and toys. When we dropped her off she went straight to a ball and started playing. We stood around trying to find the nursery leaders and all these mom's were literally dropping off their kids and running out the door while the kids stood there crying. When we left, Allie didn't even know we were gone. After Sunday School I went and looked through the peephole and Allie was just playing. After church when I went to pick her up, all of the kids were standing at the door crying and Allie was no where to be found. Turns out she was in the corner still playing. She loved nursery. Matt said after church that he knew she would be good and he gets bugged when people try to tell us how our daughter is going to act in certain situations. I was just so happy that she was a little sweetheart and I was able to enjoy a full day of church. That night we went to my mom's for dinner. It was great to spend the day with my mom. My mom is too nice on holiday's and always insists that we go to the in-laws, but this year I really wanted to spend it with her. She was really happy that we were there. After that we went to Matt's parents to visit his mom. It was such a great Mother's Day all around. Matt and Allie gave me a Willow Tree Figurine. It is a mother holding a toddler, and Allie actually picked it out. I have the best husband and daughter. Life couldn't be better!!

Girls Weekend!!

Last weekend my sister-in-law Jackie invited me to a girls weekend with her family. Unfortunately, Jackie ended up getting her appendix out the day before we left so she couldn't go. We still all went even though we were all so sad that she didn't make it. We went up to Midway on Friday night and stayed in some condos there. We did SWAG bags that night. We all brought an item to put in everyone's bags. It was so much fun and we got some fun stuff. We went hot tubing that night and just hung out and talked. The next morning we went to the outlets in Park City. We shopped all afternoon and got some great deals. After a long day of shopping we were all hungry so we ate at the Bear Dance Cafe in Midway. It was soooo good! That night we just stayed in the condo and everyone got glitter toes done while we watched a movie. I had such a blast. I just love the Niu family so much. I'm so glad my brother married into the family. We have known them forever and have always loved them.
